Previously known as the Abraham Lincoln Center Business Council, Bronzeville Community Development Partnership was founded in 1989, with Paula Robinson serving as its president and founder. BCDP was established to act as a facilitator for long-term investment and economic growth in the Bronzeville community, also called the Black Metropolis, collaborating with community stakeholders, partners and local institutions to help create a brighter future for this historic community.
The Bronzeville Community Development Partnership (BCDP) advances sustainable, community-driven economic development in Bronzeville by leveraging the neighborhood’s historic, cultural, technological, and transportation assets to create jobs, build new enterprises, attract investment, and strengthen the community as a nationally and internationally recognized African American heritage destination.

BCDP envisions Bronzeville as a thriving, sustainable, and globally recognized African American heritage destination—where history and culture drive economic opportunity, innovative technology advances community prosperity, and clean, equitable transportation connects residents, businesses, visitors, and institutions to a vibrant future.
